First dates
Michelle was excited when Rob asked her out. She thought he was sweet and funny, and a gentleman to boot.
She was surprised when he kissed her at the stoplight, but it was a very happy surprise.
She was in her workout clothes and her hair was in a messy ponytail. She wasn't expecting to meet anyone at rugby practice.
For their first date, she got dressed up. She hoped he thought she was pretty. Rob was already sitting at the bar when she arrived. He was dressed up too.
They were both nervous. They wanted it to go well.
After talking for hours, they were the only people left in the restaurant.
It was a good first date, and it would not be their last.

Once upon a time...
All of Rob's friends got engaged with in one month. Rob was the single man out. He decided he needed a hobby. Something manly to do while his buddies picked out floral arrangements and discussed tuxedos. So he did what any red blooded American man would do, he joined a rugby team.
Soon he was jumping off balconies, popping his shoulder out of it's sockets, and drinking beers in the woods with a crazy person from upstate named Joel.
One day, Joel asked Rob if he could come help out at a women's rugby practice. Because Rob is a nice person, he said yes.
During the warm up at practice Rob spotted a girl with a long blonde ponytail and pink shorts. "What a cutie," he thought, and tried to chat her up between drills. That cutie was focused on rugby and was not having it. Rob shrugged his shoulders. "Her loss," he thought, and went on with practice.
After practice everyone went to the Sheep Station for some beers and Rob got a second chance to talk to that cutie with the pink shorts. Off the field, she wasn't so focused and they got to chatting. Soon they discovered they only lived a few blocks away from each other and agreed to walk home together.
On that walk home, Rob took advantage of a red light to give that cutie a kiss. And ask her on a date.
She said yes.

Rob and Michelle are engaged!
They love each other so much it fills up the atmosphere around them like great thunderclouds of joy.
