I feel like half of you are in the middle of The Omnivore's Dilemma, just got back from watching Food, Inc., got stressed out choosing between organic, local, or conventional tomatoes at the grocery store, or gave up, ordered takeout, and felt guilty about it later.
We are all concerned about what we are eating for our meals. Maybe you are worried about what pesticides are doing to your body or the planet. Maybe you want the most nutrients you can get. Maybe you want something with a lot of taste, and low calories. Whatever your food concerns are, I'm sure there are almost as many reasons for not accomplishing them.
We are busy people. These choices are harder everyday, and it seems the more we know, the harder it is to decide what to buy, what to cook, and what to eat.
This is my challenge to you: Make one meal each week that you are proud of.
Set yourself a weekly food goal ("I am going to make one meal that is completely sustainable." "I am going to represent all five food groups." "I am going to sit at the table and eat a meal with my family."), and for one meal out of the 21 meals you eat in a week - achieve it!
